Final MA Presentation

The powerpoint and the notes used during the presentation are available to view in the reading room.

Final MA presentation was today…

… and it went very well indeed.  I left and I wholeheartedly felt that it could not have gone any better.  The official feedback I recieved was minimal but entirely positive.  I think the presentation was steady and smooth considering the pressure of the situation – two years work boiled down to one presentation.  I spoke about everything I wanted to and more that I hadn’t planned for. I was able to add to points being raised and discussed.

I was smiling from ear to ear when I left.  I am very very very happy indeed.

At the end and not part of the assessment I was shown the perils of using unbranded photopaper.  In the dark areas of my prints the black areas had a blue tint to them.  I was told that this was either the (cheap) paper or that I had the printer set to incorrect settings.  The paper I was using was unbranded heavy duty glossy photopaper I had purchased from amazon.  The printer was set to SuperPro paper.  I am going to do some sample prints of the “blue area” of the image and see if I can get around this for future prints.  Afterall I have got nearly 40 A3 sheets left!  After this I am going to buy canon in future, even if I do have to pay more for less sheets.  Theres no point in having lots of paper if its not producing the results you want.

Propitious days

My exposition work went up yesterday, feels good.  Nearly there.
