How it relates to my work: Particularly this piece is almost occupation incarnate.  The Archmage has left the room, but evidence of his occupation is strewn throughout the scene.
How my work is different: This is an interior scene.  As with Vladimirs work, the level of detail seems to be far higher than my work.  Again its the sheer number of items in the scene that make it seem so full and busy – and occupied.  Also it looks more believable than my work.
What I like about the work: The clever modelling tricks used – the candle flames are great, as are the book pages and scrolls, the desk and the fruit.  The only thing I don’t like is that everthing looks too clean.  Especially the shiny chain draped from the ceiling.  An Archmage would never have time to keep such a cluttered desk free of dust and dirt.
